Leave a legacy
Leave a lasting legacy with a gift in your will to Pawprints to Freedom

Every year, we save hundreds of dogs from kill shelters and other horrific situations and find them loving homes. Leaving a gift in your will helps us give more dogs in need the second chance they deserve.

Why leave a legacy

No one likes to think about death - in fact, 65% of adults have not yet written a will. But by taking an active step and deciding to remember us in your will, you'll help our team be there to care for dogs in need, both in the UK and in Romania. You can also help us secure a permanent place of safety for them; our long term goal is to own our own kennels in both countries, and legacy funding will play a huge role in our ability to achieve this dream.

If you are considering leaving a gift to Pawprints to Freedom, thank you. Any gift, large or small, makes a real difference to the dogs in our care.

What your gift could mean

Whatever its size, you can rest assured that any gift you leave will be spent where it's needed most - to benefit dogs in need.

£250 will save the life of a Romanian street dog by enabling us to transport him or her to a better life in the UK.

£2,500 will cover the cost of spaying and neutering 100 dogs, helping us tackle the stray dog issue at the root cause.

£50,000 will enable us to purchase the land needed to build our own kennels in Romania.

£500,000 will enable us to purchase a UK kennel site, saving us thousands of pounds a month in rent that we can use to save more dogs.

Types of legacies

If you would like to remember us in your will, there are three main types of gift you can make:

Residuary gift - is the gift of all (or part) of the value of your estate after debts, liabilities and other legacies have been paid. It is the most valuable kind of legacy you can leave.

Pecuniary gift - is the gift of a specified sum of money.

Specific gift - is the gift of a specified item, for example; property, a painting, or a piece of jewellery. We are always grateful for items that we can auction.

Suggested wording for a codicil to us:
