10 reasons your dog makes the paw-fect Valentine’s date

As if you needed an excuse to spend more time with your dog… here are ten reasons he or she makes the ideal Valentine’s Day date (and we’re sure you can think of many more!)

  • You can snuggle up with your furball for the best cuddles ever.

  • Dogs don’t talk so there’s no need to try making conversation to fill in an awkward silence.

  • Your dog is happy to do whatever you want to do so won’t argue about where to go or what to do.

  • Wear what you want. Dressed to kill or T-shirt and slippers. Your dog doesn’t care. It’s all the same to them.  It’s the smell of you they love.

  • Spend as little as you like - a new lickit toy or squeaky ball and they’ll be over the moon at your generosity.

  • They can’t manipulate the controls on the TV remote. Watch anything you choose - they’ll be happy to watch it as long as they’re snuggled up alongside of you.

  • Your food’s yours - no need to share. They’d like it if you did but they won’t pinch a chip or ask for a taste of what YOU chose to eat rather than sticking with their own food.

  • Take as many selfies as you like. Snap away to your heart’s content.  Puppy dog is fine with that.

  • Dog’s don’t think the world revolves around them and their needs.  No need for anything special.  Same sofa, same food (7 days a week) - not a problem.  Time alone with you is the most important thing you can give them.

So what does Valentine’s Day mean to you?  Is it “True, Everlasting Love?”

Your dog has given you their heart and the only time they’ll break your heart is when theirs stops beating.

Maia and Kade (pictured) are bonded huskies who will be spending this Valentine’s Day together and hopefully many more. Please get in touch if you can offer them the loving home they’re looking for.
