Daisy

Daisy is a 4-year-old large female Husky Cross, who was saved from a UK dog pound in April 2024, where she was at risk of euthanasia. She was friendly with both staff and other dogs, settled well into foster care so was adopted in June 2024.

Sadly, two years after adoption Daisy is being surrendered due to a significant change in the family's circumstances.

She currently lives with a 1-year-old child who was born after Daisy arrived and has been gentle and affectionate around them. However, as a general rule we do not rehome dogs with children under 4 years old.

She is friendly with visitors, has shown no aggression or resource guarding, and can live with dog-savvy cats following careful introductions.

Daisy walks well on a lead, although she can pull towards other dogs because she wants to play. She is toilet trained, travels well in the car, sleeps quietly overnight in her own bed, and rarely barks.

Daisy has shown some separation anxiety on occasion so will need a home where someone is home based and can gradually build up her confidence when left alone for short periods.

Daisy currently has a skin condition which she in on antibiotics for. This may require ongoing management, including medication and possibly medicated baths, so fosters/adopters must be committed to her continued care.

She is a loving, playful and loyal dog who enjoys walks, toys and spending time with her people. In the right home, Daisy will make a wonderful companion.
