💙 Ahab is a large but gentle old boy who is looking for a retirement home. He has clearly had a tough time of it, but we want him to know that he does not need to worry anymore. Ahab will need someone that has experience with dogs as he does try to keep himself to himself, but this is probably just because of what he has endured.

We thought that we would need to carry him out of the kennel to get him out, but to our surprise, he accepted a lead calmly and he was absolutely fine on it, he did not worry or pull at all. This old boy has a heart of gold and actually loves to be fussed over, its amazing how different he is out of the kennel to inside.

Ahab gets on well with dogs he knows, but can worry meeting new dogs, but he has never shown any signs of aggression, so could live with another dog following slow and steady introductions, but probably not dogs too young and bouncy. Ahab does not ask for much, just a nice warm place to sleep, some food and kind hands to stoke him.

He is in good health and will make a great companion, all he really just wants to do is put his feet up and relax. Adopting an older dog is so rewarding, and they are forever grateful for your love. Could you be the one to offer Ahab the love and kindness to so deserves ? 💙
