Meet Bolt, Bolt needs a home with confident, experienced owners who are strong in correcting if he tried to "herd" or show unwanted behaviours. He loves to run in the garden and play so that would be a massive benefit for him if they have a big garden. he loves his toys and balls in the garden and will happily keep himself entertained. He has cuddly toys and loves the squeakers inside, kongs with greek yoghurt and lick mats. He loves to dig in the garden too. He does like to be around his owners and will often jump up for attention and love.

Bolt has been around children of all ages in Romania and was good with them however due to his recent behaviours he will need an Adult only home.

Bolt met dogs in Romania and was very good with them, he has not had any interactions with other dogs since being in the UK. Bolt could live with other dogs following sensible introductions.

Bolt has not been around cats and has shown some chase drive in the garden so he would need a cat free home.

Bolt has seen dogs on walks, he can sometimes sit and watch them go by and other times gets very excited and playful around them. Bolt does accept a collar and lead being put on by his male owner, he is very good on his walks and does listen and follow well. He is getting better with recall and responding to his name. He can be nervous around moving vehicles or engines which can cause him to stop and he needs some time to continue. He has met several people on walks and generally done very well with them. He has also been to the pet shop to be weighed and has taken treats with no issues.

Bolt does show guarding behaviours around toys and high value items such as kongs, his family have been working on swapping this for higher value treats or toys

Bolt is toilet trained but is not crate trained. He has shown some puppy chewing behaviours with the skirting boards but this has stopped recently with some more enrichment toys. He can be left alone for up to 4 hours with no issues however he can become anxious being left alone at night when his owner has been working in the evening which can cause him to guard his gate and room.
