💙 Kuro is a striking looking dog that turns heads wherever he goes. He’s very labrador-esqe but smaller. He has a few quirks (don’t we all!) but he is a very gentle and docile old soul for a relatively young dog.
Kuro is trying his best to be brave but he is very fearful of the world and everything in it. He is still earning to live in a home and the usually sights and sounds are so unfamiliar to him that a bin lid closing, or the lights being switched on, can startle him. That said, there is not an aggressive bone in his body, and he very much looks to his people to reassure him that all is well.
Kuro is scared of people in general, including children but once you earn his trust you will have a goofy sidekick for life. He walks well on the lead and is happy to say hello to every dog he meets providing they approach him gently. He would benefit from a confident resident dog to show him that the world is not a scary place.
Kuro loves being outside in the garden. So much so that he sleeps on the grass all night unless it’s raining. He has a bed but doesn’t really understand what it’s for. He would love a home where he can have plenty of access to an outside space.
Kuro is a very clever boy. He has already learnt some commands like sit and come, and is a very quick learner. He is very submissive and gentle, he doesn’t demand attention, rarely barks and is very sweet natured.
Kuro needs a home where he is given the time to settle and bond with his forever family at his own pace. He would benefit from a quiet, calm home with a resident dog who can help him understand that he is loved and safe.
Kuro is described by his foster carer as a “beautiful soul who is a bit unsure of the world. Kuro is an awesome dog and anyone who gets him will be lucky to have him. There is not a bad bone in his body. He deserves the best”. 💙
