💙 Rex is your typical gentle large dog. He loves all kind of human interaction, doesn’t realise how large he is, and is going to try and sit on your knee for cuddles.
Rex is friendly and very happy to approach of his own accord for fuss and treats. He walks nicely on the lead but is a strong boy. He is happy to say hello to passers by and other dogs but equally content to just walk by without issue.
Rex is the type of dog who will take up space in your home and your heart, and it’ll feel like he’s been there forever. This older gentleman just needs a home to call his own to live out his days peacefully💙

Rex honestly sounds like such a lovely dog, especially for someone looking for a calmer companion. At 8 years old, he’s clearly past that super energetic stage and just wants a peaceful life — walks at his own pace, some exploring, and lots of affection. It’s really nice to see how much progress he’s made too, considering he was found in poor condition and has now recovered well.
I also like that he’s described as friendly and good with other dogs, as long as introductions are done slowly. That kind of temperament usually makes the transition into a new home much easier. You can tell he’d suit someone who just wants a loyal, easy-going companion rather than a high-energy dog.
